Please read this page carefully. It explains what MyTownBoard is, what we expect from our members and what we are not responsible for.

1. Our Mission

MyTownBoard exists to connect communities through responsible communication, trusted local businesses, community announcements, education, tourism, volunteerism, culture and positive civic engagement.

Our mission is to help every town become cleaner, safer, stronger and more connected through technology.

2. Public Beta Notice

MyTownBoard is currently under active development. Features, workflows and services may improve, change or become temporarily unavailable as the platform evolves. We sincerely appreciate every user helping us test and improve the platform.

3. False News & Responsible Publishing

MyTownBoard has zero tolerance for:

  • False news
  • Fake announcements
  • Misinformation
  • Fraud
  • Scams
  • Impersonation
  • Hate speech
  • Harassment
  • Defamatory content
  • Deliberately misleading information

Users must only publish information they reasonably believe to be true and accurate. Content found to intentionally mislead the public may be removed, and offending accounts may be suspended or permanently disabled.

4. Community Responsibility

Every member is responsible for the information they publish. Users should verify facts before posting. If you identify misleading or harmful content, please report it immediately using the platform's reporting tools.

5. Business Responsibility

Businesses are solely responsible for the accuracy of:

  • Products
  • Prices
  • Services
  • Availability
  • Delivery commitments
  • Contact information
  • Payment details
  • Customer interactions

MyTownBoard provides the technology platform connecting buyers and sellers and is not responsible for disputes arising from transactions.

6. Community Integrity Rule

This is one of MyTownBoard's foundational principles.

Every announcement, business listing, article, event and discussion belongs only to the community selected during publishing.

  • What belongs to Mankessim stays in Mankessim.
  • What belongs to Kasoa stays in Kasoa.
  • What belongs to Cape Coast stays in Cape Coast.

Every town maintains its own independent community feed. Content should only be published in communities where it is genuinely relevant, preserving the identity and usefulness of every town.

7. Good Faith Statement

MyTownBoard was built with good intentions. We believe technology should unite communities rather than divide them.

We encourage every member to promote:

  • Truthfulness
  • Respect
  • Community service
  • Environmental cleanliness
  • Education
  • Volunteerism
  • Local businesses
  • Constructive discussions
  • Positive community development

Together, we can build communities that future generations will be proud of.
